  1. JanWay is PC based.

  2. File types: Prefer vector based files created using Adobe Illustrator 10(.ai, .eps), Macromedia Freehand(.eps), Corel Draw 10(.cdr), *Adobe Photoshop 7(.psd, .tif, .eps), *Adobe Acrobat 5(.pdf)

  3. Fonts: Convert all fonts to curves, outlines, or paths. Please supply us with the name of the font used.

  4. Include all linked graphics such as Tiff or EPS files.

  5. Provide contact name and phone number.

  6. E-mail to art@janway.com, subject: Artwork/Sales Persons Name

  7. In the body of the e-mail, let us know what type of file you are attaching

  8. Fax black and white copy to 570-494-1350.

  9. Disk Types: Floppy, Zip 100MB, CD-Rom

  10. Provide black and white printout (laser printout if possible.)

    * Usually requires redraw or touch-up, art charge will be added.

If the above requirements cannot be met, JanWay can create/recreate your art. The first 30 minutes of art work is complimentary. Any additional time required will be billed at a rate of $35 per hour. Estimates are free.

Camera Ready Art
  1. Art must be in black and white with no greys. (Halftone screens are available on some products. Call for tints and LPI for screens.)
  2. Art must have sharp, crisp and clean edges.
  3. Art must be actual imprint size.
  4. Multicolor imprints must be color separated with crop marks and traps where needed. (Traps for products may vary. Please call for details.)
  5. If art was created using a computer, print on a laser printer (600 DPI or higher resolution).

Embroidery Charges  (Back To top)
Embroidery of your design is available on our full line of wearables and bags. Embroidery adds a touch of class to your bag or garment. Embroidery charges are based on the number of stitches (Stitch Count) required to sew your design. Prices include up to 7 thread colors. For additional colors up to 12, add $.15 per color. Fax your design to your sales consultant for a free stitch count estimate. Our fax number is 570-494-1350.

(i.e. tote bags), if 1 color imprint is included in the product price it is necessary
to deduct that cost before adding the embroidery fees. The below chart lists

Full Color Silk Screened Imprinting  (Back To top)
The Process - This process uses plastisol inks silk screened directly onto your bag or garment. Direct silk screened imprints allow the best and brightest colors as well as the most durable imprint.
Limitations - This process will print colors close to your original artwork but color matches are not possible. Due to the extensive amount of time that must be devoted to set-up, pre-production proofs are not available. Allow 1 extra week for production.
Products - Canvas tote bags, T-shirts and staff shirts.

Full Color Digital Laser Transfers  (Back To top)
The Process - These high quality transfers are printed on a special laser printer and applied to a bag or garment with an industrial heat press. JanWay has extensively researched the available options in order to bring you the highest quality transfer process available. This process economically achieves a full color effect on low quantity orders without expensive set-up charges.
Limitations - This process will print colors close to your original artwork but color matches are not possible. Although these transfers are the most durable available they still are not as long lasting as direct silk screened imprints. Allow 2 extra weeks for production.
Products - 10 oz. natural canvas tote bags and white or natural T-shirts, sweat shirts, cardigans and staff shirts.
